Lipo Complications

When it comes to getting a cosmetic procedure like liposuction aka lipo, you should know that there is always the risk of complications because it’s an invasive surgery after all. Liposuction can be performed in more than one session. Several areas on people’s bodies can be liposuctioned if they’re considered eligible. It is true that lipo is a highly invasive cosmetic procedure but it’s considered safe and the success rate of it is quite high. However, there there are a couple of lipo complications that can be seen in some patients.

Swelling is the most seen liposuction side effect for sure. Almost every lipo patient suffers from swelling after their procedures. Swelling after lipo is not permanent but doctor’s consultancy may be needed if they go any severe. Swelling should not be always considered a complication because it is actually how your body reacts to your liposuction surgery.

You will suffer from swelling in the early days of recovery and this is not supposed to last for a long time. If your swelling does not seem to leave your body, you should ask for some prescription drugs, creams, or lotions. Your doctor will examine your liposuctioned body and suggest the appropriate solution.

You should not use any kind of products without your doctor’s knowledge. You can’t be so sure that they will be of any help. They may even cause worse complications so it is best to obey your doctor’s recovery instructions all the time.

You may suffer from annoying itching during the recovery. It is again, a reaction of your body to the treatment but you need to watch yourself and do not attempt to remove your scabs with your fingers, rather nails. You would not want to get yourself infected because your nails include little germs and microorganisms which may cause serious infections.
