How To Sleep After Lipo

Many people think that liposuction is considered one of the least complicated cosmetic procedures in the world. This is a total misconception because liposuction can be really tough sometimes, especially during recovery. Candidates should even know how to sleep after lipo because it’s a risk that they can’t take. Liposuction is an invasive fat removal procedure which means that there will be surgical wounds on your body after the procedures. These wounds need to heal and you should provide the best comfort to your surgical area.

Liposuction can be performed on many areas on the body but it is mostly associated with the abdominal area of the body. Besides, many liposuction procedures are performed along with other cosmetic procedures like skin lift jobs. Tummy tuck or abdominoplasty is the best example of lipo and skin-lift collaboration.

If you get liposuctioned on your abdominal area, you need to sleep on your back and put a pillow under your knees. This is the best sleeping position you can make during liposuction recovery. You need to limit your movement space by blocking one of your turning sides with another pillow. Every person’s body tends to turn some location, right or left, during their sleep.

You can’t afford it if your stitches get loose because it increases the risk of infection and other complications. Besides, your recovery time will take longer than usual if there’s something wrong with your stitches. That’s why you need to put your body in the best position during your sleep.

You should also avoid activities that may ruin your stitches. Sexual intercourse should be avoided for at least 2 weeks. People can be unpredictable while having sex and you can’t guarantee that you and your partner will be gentle with your body.
